PULLING BACK THE CURTAIN ON FILM FESTIVALS
Does your film have what it takes to get accepted to film festivals? Do you know how to navigate a film festival to maximize your experience? At the April 27th Film + Music + Interactive Happy Hour, Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) Director of Programming Beth Barrett will offer a glimpse into the mysterious and wonderful world of film festival programming. Beth has worked at SIFF since 2003, after years of being a festival-goer. She is responsible for managing all aspects of film programming, the staff of film programmers, and securing films and guests for the Festival. She will share her insight and expertise to help you learn what it takes to get your project seen on the festival circuit, both in the U.S. and abroad. Beth will also highlight emerging new technologies and storytelling methods to help you make the most of the festival whether you have a selected film or not. And if that isn’t enough, as an added bonus, the local film lineup for the 2016 SIFF Northwest Connections program will be revealed.
In addition to SIFF being our April featured presentation, this month SIFF is also hosting us at their Film Center location at Seattle Center.
The usual time, the usual date but an absolutely fab new location!
Join us Wednesday, April 27th from 5 to 7:00 p.m. at the SIFF Film Center at Seattle Center (The SIFF Film Center is located on the NW corner of the Seattle Center campus next to The Vera Project and near KEXP’s new home).
