The Mixer: January 2019 – Seattle’s Future in Online Entertainment

james-feore january 2019This month at The Mixer, join us for a conversation with James Feore from the Seattle Online Broadcasters Association. As technologies and audiences change, the face of entertainment is beginning to change with them. Legacy broadcasting is increasingly giving way to user-generated, highly-interactive online broadcasting, and Seattle is at the forefront of this burgeoning industry. Come to learn about how Twitch, YouTube, and eSports are redefining entertainment for younger audiences, how Seattle is positioned as a leading city in those industries, and opportunities for engaging with this new industry.

Join us for this discussion with James Feore and to network with fellow creatives!

About the speaker:

As the Director of Partner Relations and board member at the Seattle Online Broadcasters Association (SOBA), James Feore is a both a subject matter expert and community leader in the local online broadcasting industry. James is an experienced leader and manager, having previously overseen everything from an Army Engineer platoon to the City of Seattle’s residential waste collection. This experience has helped SOBA grow from a small social gathering to the nation’s largest online broadcasting trade association in under two years’ time, and helped place Seattle on the short list for the title of the “Hollywood of online broadcasting.” James also works as a Community Manager for BanzaiBaby and is a regular guest on her Twitch show. The business plan he drafted for the channel has been cited by Twitch Studios as the template for channels wishing to take the step towards professional streaming.
